Exceptional service differentiates Mclaren from its competitors." - Rob Pagacz (Bobcat S300 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "Tires are still working out great. Tons of hours left on them!" - Levi McDermott (Mustang 2086 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "Made my bobcat work like a Cat dozer; Easy on off" - Roy Young (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "I think you make a superior product..." - Eric Wellish, (Case 1845C skid steer loader);                                                                                           "I really like the traction that I get from my tracks, and will most likely consider repurchasing when needed... I have the TDF series track." - Scott Robinson (Takeuchi TL 150 compact track loader);                                                                                           "Your Protrac rubber have saved me thousands of dollars! I rented a track machine for one month prior to having your tracks, that rental cost would have covered the cost of the McLarens. I was expecting to have bought a new machine, but there has been no reason to as the OTTs have added lift capacity, stability, a softer ride, and of course traction beyond my wildest expectations. My machine rep is not happy with your product, no sale for him... Could not be happier, literally!" - Simon Huxtable (Bobcat 763 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The up front cost is greater than others but quality and performance far outweigh the cost." - Bearden Services (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The sales rep that handled my purchase was knowledgeable, polite, and knew his product... Good job, keep it up. " - Mike Essenpreis (John Deere 325 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "The salesman helped me quite a bit with the sizing issue." - Dennis Weiss (Bobcat Model 100);                                                                                         "I appreciate the after sales follow up."  - Eagle Golf Inc. Why Choose Solid Skid Steer Tires over Foam Filled and Pneumatic Tire?

Why Choose Solid Skid Steer Tires over Foam Filled and Pneumatic Tire?

There’s no question that heavy equipment is vital to the success of your business, but the quality of your tires are equally as important. While there are plenty of tires on the market (some good, some not so good), the type of tire always comes down to solid versus pneumatic. Continue reading to learn why you should choose McLaren solid skid steer tires instead of pneumatic tires.

You’ll never have a flat tire again

The primary reason most companies equip their machines with solid tires is the fact that their Skid Steer won’t experience flats. It’s not often you see a job site that’s free of debris; instead, skid steers are usually driving over nails, screws, rocks, and more. In other words, your crew doesn’t have to deal with downtime, meaning you won’t have to lose money because of downtime, and you’ll significantly reduce repair costs. McLaren also has the best maintenance free dollar per operational hour ratio in the industry. You will get the most life out of our tires with the least cost, which means; in the long run our tires pay for themselves.

Solid tires last longer without maintenance

With the solid rubber construction of a solid tire, you can expect your tires to last at least three times longer than a pneumatic tire. This is accomplished by using high grade compounds in our rubber mix. Most competitors use low grade materials in their tire compounds.  Sound good? It’s about to get even better. You don’t have to worry about maintaining solid cushion tires. There’s no air to fill, no tire pressure to check, and no holes to patch—just revenue to be made and work to get done.

Foam filled pneumatic tires vs. Solid Flat Proof Tires

Another option to make your tires less prone to go flat, is to fill them with a foam, which makes it more difficult for them to go flat, but not completely flat proof. The sidewall of the tire is still a vulnerable area, and if that gets damaged, the foam substance can leak out or be squeezed out, damaging the tire. At this point, the tire has to be replaced. Not to mention, there is less cushion from the pneumatic tire once this foam is injected. With McLaren solid skid steer tires you get the dependability of a flat proof tire with the cushioned ride of a pneumatic tire.

Selecting the best treat pattern for your job

Choosing the best tread pattern for the environment you are working in can help to make your solid tires last much longer than a pneumatic tire. Here at McLaren we have two distinct tread patterns to choose from. The first pattern is our dirt terrain pattern or “DT” pattern. This pattern is best for off road conditions such as mud, sand, and forestry applications. With deep lugs, you will have no problem powering through the toughest environments. Our All-Terrain pattern or “AT” pattern is best for environments with 70% hard surface use such as asphalt, concrete, or scrapyard work. We call this pattern our “AT” pattern.  Whether you need tires for skid steers, backhoes, or telehandlers, we have you covered with a variety of tread patterns to fit your needs. We also have non-marking tires available, if you need to keep your work area free of black marks from the tires.

Versatile applications

Solid skid steer tires are widely applicable to a variety of work scenarios. Regardless of the type of terrain you’re working on, solid tires are more than capable of handling different terrains and conditions. Not to mention, the weight of solid tires is an added bonus as they’re naturally heavier, giving your machine more stability while lifting and reduced bounce when operating.

Whether you’ve tried solid tires before or not, there are several advantages that will ensure your money is well spent. Just make sure you choose solid skid steer tires instead of pneumatic from a supplier that values quality and with a proven track record.

Whether you’ve tried industrial solid rubber tires before or not, there are several advantages that will ensure your money is well spent. Make sure you choose solid skid steer tires with high performance cushioning and shock absorption or you will regret your purchase. McLaren designs and manufactures all of its flat proof skid steer tires to have the most cushion and shock absorption in the industry. Don’t be fooled by competitors with less experience. We are not only a supplier, we are the manufacturer. We have been manufacturing flat proof skid steer tires for over 20 years, continually improving our flat proof technology becoming the best performing flat proof tire in the  construction industry.
