Exceptional service differentiates Mclaren from its competitors." - Rob Pagacz (Bobcat S300 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "Tires are still working out great. Tons of hours left on them!" - Levi McDermott (Mustang 2086 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "Made my bobcat work like a Cat dozer; Easy on off" - Roy Young (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "I think you make a superior product..." - Eric Wellish, (Case 1845C skid steer loader);                                                                                           "I really like the traction that I get from my tracks, and will most likely consider repurchasing when needed... I have the TDF series track." - Scott Robinson (Takeuchi TL 150 compact track loader);                                                                                           "Your Protrac rubber have saved me thousands of dollars! I rented a track machine for one month prior to having your tracks, that rental cost would have covered the cost of the McLarens. I was expecting to have bought a new machine, but there has been no reason to as the OTTs have added lift capacity, stability, a softer ride, and of course traction beyond my wildest expectations. My machine rep is not happy with your product, no sale for him... Could not be happier, literally!" - Simon Huxtable (Bobcat 763 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The up front cost is greater than others but quality and performance far outweigh the cost." - Bearden Services (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The sales rep that handled my purchase was knowledgeable, polite, and knew his product... Good job, keep it up. " - Mike Essenpreis (John Deere 325 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "The salesman helped me quite a bit with the sizing issue." - Dennis Weiss (Bobcat Model 100);                                                                                         "I appreciate the after sales follow up."  - Eagle Golf Inc. Best Attachments for Your Tree and Stump Removal Service

skid steer stump bucket

When removing a tree, most people simply grind the top of the stump with a stump grinder to get rid of it. However, doing so only removes the top part of the stump. It does not fully remove the roots of the tree that go all the way down into the ground. As a result, an uneven surface may remain, and the tree may even grow back. To fully remove the tree’s remains, here are some of the best attachments for your tree and stump removal service.

Attachments for Removing Large Tree Stumps

An Auger With a Stump-Shaving Bit

Before digging the stump of a large tree out, you’ll want to take measures to make the process as easy as possible. To expedite the stump removal process, it’s a good idea to break the stump up using an auger with a stump-shaving bit. As its name suggests, a stump-shaver can help cut a stump up and essentially shave it into small chips of wood.

While you could also use a stump grinder for this application, a stump-shaver produces less dust, operates more quickly, and is less expensive. When considering such advantages, it is clear why a stump-shaver is one of the best attachments for your tree and stump removal service.

Stump Bucket

After using a stump shaver to shave down the stump of the tree as much as possible, only the roots of the tree will remain. To remove the residual roots, one of the best attachments to use is a stump bucket. The stump bucket will allow you to easily dig up the remaining stump and roots around the removed tree. Once the roots have been dug up, you could then come back in with a root rake skid steer grapple bucket attachment and rake up all the pre-pulled up roots and remaining stump so you can easily load them into your truck and finish the job. Upon doing so, the tree will be completely removed.

Attachments for Removing Small Trees

Post-Puller

If the tree that you need to remove is smaller—around four or five inches in diameter—and the roots don’t go down as deep, the removal process is far less complex. In such a case, the only attachment you may require is a post-puller. With this attachment, you can simply grab the tree and pull it up using the machine, effectively yanking the tree right out of the ground.
