Exceptional service differentiates Mclaren from its competitors." - Rob Pagacz (Bobcat S300 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "Tires are still working out great. Tons of hours left on them!" - Levi McDermott (Mustang 2086 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "Made my bobcat work like a Cat dozer; Easy on off" - Roy Young (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "I think you make a superior product..." - Eric Wellish, (Case 1845C skid steer loader);                                                                                           "I really like the traction that I get from my tracks, and will most likely consider repurchasing when needed... I have the TDF series track." - Scott Robinson (Takeuchi TL 150 compact track loader);                                                                                           "Your Protrac rubber have saved me thousands of dollars! I rented a track machine for one month prior to having your tracks, that rental cost would have covered the cost of the McLarens. I was expecting to have bought a new machine, but there has been no reason to as the OTTs have added lift capacity, stability, a softer ride, and of course traction beyond my wildest expectations. My machine rep is not happy with your product, no sale for him... Could not be happier, literally!" - Simon Huxtable (Bobcat 763 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The up front cost is greater than others but quality and performance far outweigh the cost." - Bearden Services (Bobcat S250 skid steer loader);                                                                                            "The sales rep that handled my purchase was knowledgeable, polite, and knew his product... Good job, keep it up. " - Mike Essenpreis (John Deere 325 skid steer loader);                                                                                           "The salesman helped me quite a bit with the sizing issue." - Dennis Weiss (Bobcat Model 100);                                                                                         "I appreciate the after sales follow up."  - Eagle Golf Inc. (Caterpillar 236B skid steer loader);                                                                                           Need to contact McLaren Customer Serive in the US? Specialized Rubber Tracks for Snow and Ice

Specialized Rubber Tracks for Snow and Ice

Snowy and icy conditions are never ideal for any project. It’s important that you can carry on with your work despite these hazards. Fortunately, skid steers have several track options that can help you maximize traction and make the very most of each minute on the clock. These are some of the preferred specialized rubber tracks for snow and ice and why you should consider using them this winter.

Standard Rubber Tracks

Some skid steer operators are surprised to discover that even the most standard of rubber tracks can perform in winter conditions. These products are designed with block or C-pattern treads to maximize traction on all types of terrain. C-pattern treads, in particular, are great for promoting a smooth ride, even when driving over a thin dusting of snow. However, it’s important to note that these tracks struggle with more severe winter weather. So, you may need another kind if you’re expecting frigid temperatures and several inches of snow.

Terrapin Tracks

Terrapin tracks are outfitted with a unique linear tread pattern, which is a great option for navigating tough winter hazards. This tread creates a greater amount of surface area along the track’s edge, making them much more effective at gripping snow and ice. They’re a more advanced product compared to the standard, they’re multi-purpose, and have a wide range of different applications to suit your needs. Because of this, they’re one of McLaren’s ideal models for compact track loader equipment.

TDF Multi-Bar Tracks

The most effective specialized rubber tracks for snow and ice are Technology Design Formulation (TDF) models. Like Terrapin tracks, they have a linear tread that can better grip the snow and ice instead of digging into it. This makes it easier to drive over icy or snowy ground and reduces the likelihood of slippage. TDF tracks offer the additional benefit of advanced load-bearing capabilities. These models can carry the full compact track loader capacity without sacrificing performance. In addition to practicing a few tips for maintaining them, this will ensure they last for several seasons to come.

No matter what type of track you need for your specific working conditions, McLaren Industries has just the selection for you. We carry all the above tracks and more to ensure that you always have the maximum amount of traction possible.
